This is a good question. Yes, there are some combinations and houses which are responsible for occult- astrology, tarot, palmistry, research, psychology, tantra, manifestation, psychic reading, medium reading, etc.
In general, these houses are responsible to become an astrologer:-
- 5th house.
- 8th house.
- 9th house.
- 4th house.
- Somewhere 12th house too.
These planets are responsible for occultist:-
- Mercury.
- Jupiter.
- Ketu.
- Rahu.
- Saturn.

- If you have powerful mercury and Jupiter in your kundali and its making contact with 5th, 8th, or 9th house. And, your 8th house is an active house in your kundali then there are chances of becoming an astrologer.
- If you have a powerful Saturn with Rahu in your kundali and it’s making any relation with your 8th house then you can become a researcher, occultist, Tantrik, astrologer, etc.
- If you have conjunction like Jupiter Ketu in your 5th, 9th, 8th, or 12th house then you might have a knowledge of astrology and spirituality.
- If you have mercury in your 5th house and your Jupiter is also powerful in your chart and you have an active 8th house then you can become a great astrologer.
- If you have a moon, mercury, Ketu, or Jupiter in your 8th house then you might have a great knowledge of research, occult, psychology, or something mysterious.
- If you’re going through the mahadasha of Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn Or Ketu in your kundali then you might be interested in astrology, palmistry, tarot, etc during those times.
- If you have an active 5th, 9th, and 8th house in your chart. And, your mercury and Jupiter are also well placed then you might become a great astrologer.
- If you have an active & powerful 8th and 12th houses then your subconscious mind is strong. You can become a psychologist, psychic reader, mediumship reader, tarot reader, astrologer, etc.
- I have seen many astrologers have Jupiter Rahu conjunction too. So, this could also be the reason.
- Strong 8th & 12th house along with good moon and Jupiter gives good intuition power which will be helpful in predictions.
